RAWALPINDI: The military’s media wing of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed on Wednesday that five army soldiers martyred during their polling duty as their vehicle plunged into a cliff.
DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor Twitted, “Five more sons of soil embraced martyrdom while serving the nation during election duty.”
The soldiers were coming at the Returning Officer’s (RO) office, after delivering election material, in NA-12 Battagram, the spokesperson informed.
“No sacrifice is more sacred than the lives sacrificed in the line of duty,” General Ghafoor stated.

In another incident, three military men and a civilian were martyred while they were escorting polling staff of Balochistan’s NA-271 Buleda, on the election day.
