ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed shock and anguish over the barbaric terrorist attack on Bastille Day celebrations in Nice, France resulting in killings of over 80 innocent men, women and children.
“There are no words to describe our anguish, shock and mourning over this inhuman and monstrous attack on the people in Nice. Our thoughts and prayers go out for the victims, their families and the people of France,” said Bilawal.
The PPP chairman said that such terrorist attacks remind the world of the need to unite to eliminate terrorism from its roots including the elements who breed, nourish and sponsor terrorism keeping in mind that extremism and terrorism are the evil products of dictatorships in different forms and manifestations.
On Thursday, a gunman at the wheel of a heavy truck plowed into a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in the French city of Nice, killing at least 84 people and injuring scores more in what President Francois Hollande called a terrorist act.
