KARACHI – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has contacted the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) for the removal of incumbent Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, a private TV channel reported.
“The governor is involved in forming a new political party,” the MQM complained to the federation, the channel reported. The report further claimed that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) too is reportedly in ‘favor of Ebad’s removal’ as governor.
Ebad was sworn in as governor of Sindh on December 27, 2002. He remains to be the longest serving governor by holding the office till date.
